Can you believe Bike Summer is almost here already? If you’re planning to lead a ride this summer, you’re welcome to join us for an interactive workshop on planning a route for a group ride and leading your group along the way. “Interactive,” you say? Yes! In lieu of a sit-down session, we’ll ride a route from an actual ride that your ride leader has led and pick it apart. We’ll explain some of the thinking behind the routing decisions — and even point out things we could have done better! You’ll even have a chance to co-lead a portion of the route so you can get a feel for what it’s like to be at the front of the group. We’ll be focusing primarily on route planning, but we’ll touch on some other stuff, too. If you’re leading a ride with us this summer, we’d love to see you, but it is not required by any means. Come with your questions, meet fellow ride leaders, share ideas, make new friends! This is an actual ride, so bring your bike! We’ll meet at Irving around 2:30 and start promptly at 3. Route will have a store stop. We hope you can make it!
