are you feeling stifled by the amount of holds you can place at multnomah county library? did you know that multnomah county residents are eligible for library cards in the surrounding counties? clackamas county libraries are our neighbors to the south and the ledding library in milwaukie is a true delight! it is a beautifully designed, bright, open and airy library with loads of cool things to borrow! in addition to a wide selection of books (and - i hesitate to reveal my book club hack - often arriving much quicker than at the multco library!), they lend a variety of tools, video games, puzzles, and many more fun items! they also have a sweet seed library for perusal. and on a personal note - i love that the clackamas county library has a phone app that you can use to place holds! (RIP the multcolib app???) >>>>> DO NOT FORGET!!!! bring your ID and proof of residency (a piece of official mail - a bill or something of that ilk) and you can walk out the door with a new library card that lets you borrow up to 80 items, place up to 40 holds, access e-books, digital audiobooks, magazines and newspapers, and use the Cultural Pass program. <<<<< this ride will be a casual, no drop pace without a store stop (no food in the library!!) - full loop is ~11 miles
