Join us for the fifth (maybe?) Pedalpalooza Portland Boring Portland, a brisk ride down to the Springwater, out to Boring, and back for about 39 miles. In the sprit of its French namesake, food is a ride feature. We'll start near a French bakery, end near a coffee shop, and hit a few food spots along the way. We'll have multiple gather spots along the way for people to catch up. All are welcome. If you're an ancien or ancienne (that's a Paris-Brest-Paris finisher), bring your jersey, rando bike, PBP signage, or stories. Any style of human powered bike is welcome, though randonneuring is the style of the day. Please bring tools to fix a flat or any other sort of mechanical that may happen. Pay attention to the forecast, and ensure you are prepared for the distance and weather. Paris Brest Paris is the oldest recurring organized bike ride in the world, having started in 1891 as an audacious 1200km physical challenge with cash prizes. Bicycles were high tech, and endurance events were the rage. PBP is now held as an amateur event every 4 years. 2027 is the next PBP year.
