This 8.5-mile, casually paced ride led by BikeLoud volunteers is an exploration of some brand-new greenways in SE Portland! We'll take a few short detours to learn tips for crossing streets more safely, to see special art installations and eco gardens, and to explore two really creative playgrounds. A picture taken of one school's art was accused of being AI generated when posted. It's that special, and has a very brief viewing window! This alone is worth coming to see! The other playground has musical equipment, spinners, a labyrinth, and a four-person seesaw! We'll also show you where to find bathrooms, and end the ride at the bike-friendly Hinterland Food Carts for anyone who wants to stay and grab a bite together afterward. So come ready to let your inner kid out to play while learning how to get around the 60s and 70s neighborhood streets and ride a portion of the new SE Tolman Street Greenway. This will become a major new east-west greenway you will want to know about, extending from SE 52nd Avenue to SE 92nd Avenue. Come join me and Lady Max— we hope to see you on the ride!
