We practice consent and non-violence specially with car interactions, what one ride does affects how all rides get treated. The Mellow Mondays are a space for (new) ride leaders to try out ideas in a very supported environment. You’ll often see Mondays rides appearing again during the warmer riding season. We follow the shift code of conduct and expect everyone to be respectful of themselves and others around them. This is so we can actually relax and have fun and connect with each other in a softer space. This isn’t a sober ride but we ask for moderation to keep the atmosphere relaxed. We recommend Abraham Fixes bikes in N Williams and NomadCycles (e-bike specialist) for repairs/sales and parts. Our friends over at RideSafePDX host regular ride and we’ recommend those as a pleasant warm group to ride with.

Cycle Vancouver is a local group that brings together people in Clark County for rides, social events, and community involvement. Join us at our bi-weekly happy hour for good banter, food, drinks, and discussions on all things transportation. We meet at Tap Union Freehouse in downtown Vancouver every other Tuesday at 6:30. Come meet a new friend, riding buddy, or just kill the time and have a brew and food!

There’s an ongoing mental health crisis and winter and the isolation it can encourage make it worst. So want to encourage folks to get out and be with other skate and bike folks and find ways to connect still. See our instagram for more details. Some of these get togethers will be game nights, others making events like movies or bands more accessible by offering supplemented tickets. Supplemented tickets are from us using NH community funds to cover some of the ticket price. We’re not asking businesses or artists we want to support to give us a discount. However the tickets are limited in number and meant for folks who need a little financial help to see something. If you’ve suggestions on events and locations for us to attend please contact us via Insta. As with all our rides these are meant as a place that’s welcoming and supportive of each others differences.

Join Nomad Cycles and the e-bike community on our monthly East side e-bike ride! Come with a full battery to ride with the ease only an electric bike can offer. This month's ride will be ending at the the White Owl Social Club to join Tabor Dance Party. We start gathering at 6 at the outdoor seating of Paqui, which is on NE 59th around the corner from Nomad. We'll hit the road at 6:30, meandering around interesting city terrain, with an opportunity or two to climb hills effortlessly and potentially open that throttle if you so desire. This is a consistent monthly ride held on every third Wednesday of the month. Frequently Woman led and all are welcome, this is an inclusive ride that is treated as a safe space.

Join us Wednesday, December 17, for a lil’ ride to look at pretty lights then check out cool handmade bike goodies at BikeCraft! We’ll meet at Irving Park starting at 6 p.m., leaving promptly at 6:30. We’ll ride around Irvington for a little bit, then make our way over to BikeCraft at Migration Brewing on N Williams. No store stop, but there’s a New Seasons nearby on Williams. At about 7:45, we’ll gather up and ride back to Irving if you’d like. Come see old friends—and make some new ones, too. Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Riders should practice consent, accountability, respect, and de-escalation at all times. Find your bike Every Friday Night. We meet at Ladds circle, in the circle. If it is raining, head down to the covered area of Abernethy Elementary School. Ride slowly meets at 7 pm and departs roughly at 7:45/8ish pm. An honorary 3 minutes of Ladd laps (Ding Ding Ride/Ladd500) and then we send it. Sometimes we have guest ride leaders. Friday Night Rides are different every time. Sometimes we go to other rides happening around town during the summer. End of ride fires/good vibes/respect/no jerks/ We are a community. Respect each other! No aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Violations against the code of conduct will be reported to shift2bikes. If you ride Sur-Ron/powerful electric bikes this is not the ride for you. You can come but you might be heckled. This is a bicycle ride. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. Be careful of slippery roads/leafs on ground/pot holes. Call out road hazards to help bike friends stay safe. 1st Friday is bottle share night. Community led ride - many folks now know the route and different folks can point the way each week! There are three meeting points: 1. SE Clinton St/41st Ave at 10 am (ride at 10:05) 2. SE Clinton St/26 Ave at 10:10 am (ride at 10:15) 3. Tilikum Bridge at (former) PDX Opera ~10:25 am; leaving from Tilikum location ~10:30 am 4. Arrive at PSU Market ~11 am Ride is on every Saturday the market is open (year round except weekend between Christmas and New Year). A well crafted Techno playlist will lead us into Peacock lane, getting us ready to party when we reach the crowded street. There we will rage for 45 minutes surrounded by lights, lovely energy and happiness, before heading to other dance stops - we will be riding slow but on fast beats, getting into some DnB and Psy Bring the spirit with and come dance! Let's roll from sun up to sun down to celebrate the beginning of Winter. This is the 5th annual! For summer solstice where we ride all night on the shortest night of the year. This ride is the inverse: ride all day on the shortest day. Route info: 50 miles, 3k feet of climbing. Route is mostly paved, but expect slippery and uneven surfaces, including stairs. Furthest tilt away from the sun: 7:03am Depart: 7:30am Sunrise: 7:47am Coffee: Fehrenbacher Hof, leaving promptly at 9am Be ready for winter weather. This is a long format ride. Come prepared with rain gear, layers, lights, snacks & water. Ride will include at least one store stop. Ride will end at a warm establishment for drinks/food. Solstice/Equinox rides aim to be challenging/adventurous and aim to test gear, rider endurance and seasonal resilience. Prepare your bikes for the upcoming season. Expect the route to contain "funny business," i.e. trail/gravel, exploration of areas that may not generally considered bike routes, and potential hike-a-bike sections. We ride bikes in Southeast Portland. We start at Foster food carts, if you can support the food carts and bar before we head out on the bike ride we meet up at 7:00 and We ride out at 8pm.
