Thursday Night Ride is Portland’s longest-running weekly social ride, riding every Thursday night since 2015! Routes and ride leaders change weekly, but expect an energetic party-paced “rolling dive bar” of a ride for newcomers and regulars alike. Most rides will feature park and store stops, but come prepared to have fun and celebrate cycling together—other wheeled guests should respect the pace and space of cyclists. New leadership, same positive vibes. While you might expect some wheelies and other chaos, riders are expected to follow Shift’s Code of Conduct, and if you’re banned from any Shift rides, TNR isn’t for you. No complaints, just accountability—if your behavior makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please leave the ride before the ride leaves you. Riders should practice consent, accountability, respect, and de-escalation at all times. Find your bike Every Friday Night. We meet at Ladds circle, in the circle. If it is raining, head down to the covered area of Abernethy Elementary School. Ride slowly meets at 7 pm and departs roughly at 7:45/8ish pm. An honorary 3 minutes of Ladd laps (Ding Ding Ride/Ladd500) and then we send it. Sometimes we have guest ride leaders. Friday Night Rides are different every time. Sometimes we go to other rides happening around town during the summer. End of ride fires/good vibes/respect/no jerks/ We are a community. Respect each other! No aggressive, sexist, racist, or any other kind of BS will be tolerated. Violations against the code of conduct will be reported to shift2bikes. If you ride Sur-Ron/powerful electric bikes this is not the ride for you. You can come but you might be heckled. This is a bicycle ride. Bring lights/locks/responsible vibes/a cup/ Casual pace with some extra zip 10-20ish mile rides with store stops/park stops/art stops NOT NECESSARILY A NO DROP RIDE… ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL/WINTER/SPRING. It’s time for the next installation of the Friday the 13th Ride & Watch series! We’re gonna pedal to our destination and watch Friday the 13th Part 2. Get ready for the gore, the slashing, the bloody mayhem. Will you last one more evening in the rain?Come find out! We’re gonna meet up at Abernathy Elementary school under the covered court around 7, and leave at about 8 and do a joint adventure with the FNR crew. Ride will end in a local establishment owned by a fellow bike friend where we can get out of the rain, warm up and watch another slasher classic. *Current image file reflects meetup details for last months Friday the 13th Ride installment. Join Depave for a community bike ride to Depave's planting at Vestal Elementary. On the bike ride, we will pause at the following locations to pickup more bikers at or after the times noted. - 9:15 am: Leave from SE 7th & Sandy - 9:25 am: Ankeny Rainbow Plaza (btwn 27/28th) - 9:30 am: Laurelhurst Park (near restrooms on Ankeny) - 9:40: NE 58th & Everett Wear your planting clothes & bike helmet. Bring a bike lock and water.

Community led ride - many folks now know the route and different folks can point the way each week! There are three meeting points: 1. SE Clinton St/41st Ave at 10 am (ride at 10:05) 2. SE Clinton St/26 Ave at 10:10 am (ride at 10:15) 3. Tilikum Bridge at (former) PDX Opera ~10:25 am; leaving from Tilikum location ~10:30 am 4. Arrive at PSU Market ~11 am Ride is on every Saturday the market is open (year round except weekend between Christmas and New Year). We will make every effort to note weather-related closures here promptly.

Meeting up at Vera Katz statue to ride down to meldrum bar park in Milwaukee about a 25 mile loop. We'll mostly riding on bike path and trolley trail with some roads. Bring water snacks and some $, we'll stop for food and extra snacks along the way. Please be prepared for flats or mechanical problems.

Welcome to Mellow Mondays 2026. Are you interested in leading a ride? This is a supportive and organized way to lead for the first time. Every week there’s different themes but there are constants…. Slow pace, about 8 mph, Distance varies but approx 10 miles, Family friendly, We practice consent and non-violence on all our rides, Store stop for safe clean bathroom access but generally we try and make these stops short, Skater friendly (but please check with ride leader about crunchy or potential issues for skates), ALL Wheels friendly (scooter, skates, skateboard, e bikes etc), Ride is always a loop, Corking and traffic intersections are calm. Be mindful of smoking around others and do not smoke around children. FAQ, Can I bring a speaker? Yes but please speak to the ride leader and play the music they’ve carefully selected or what their preference is. Can I lead a ride? Yes, please attend a few first and get a feel for how the rides are. I’ve heard NakedHearts supports other rides? Yes, we can help with planning, encouragement, promotion, sound support and what not. What do you mean you practice consent? We ask everyone (even friends, relatives, husbands and wives with each other) to ask for permission before touching anyone else or their belongings and when asking to seek listen and empower ‘No’. What do you mean you practice Non-violence? We specifically expect everyone to be calm, kind and respectful with all car interactions. One riders aggression to a car driver can put everyone else at risk. We live in a small city and are bound to encounter the same drivers again. Are all your rides a protest? Yes, being together with respect and acceptance and finding comfort and joy around others and strangers is an act of protest against the divisive paradigm we are in.

We meet up every other Tuesday. We ride in the Southeast Portland we have food carts and a beer tent at the start of the ride. And we go somewhere and generally have a fire. As a great close-knit ride open to you . i promise to make you dance like idot and celebrate your night.So be kind to all travlers , bring your friends, and optimism.

Bike Happy Hour

Join Nomad Cycles and the e-bike community on our monthly East side e-bike ride! Come with a full battery to ride with the ease only an electric bike can offer. This month's ride will be ending at the the White Owl Social Club to join Tabor Dance Party. We start gathering at 6 at the outdoor seating of Paqui, which is on NE 59th around the corner from Nomad. We'll hit the road at 6:30, meandering around interesting city terrain, with an opportunity or two to climb hills effortlessly and potentially open that throttle if you so desire. This is a consistent monthly ride held on every third Wednesday of the month. Frequently Woman led and all are welcome, this is an inclusive ride that is treated as a safe space.

Hey ho, let's go! Grab your bike, lights, helmet, flat repair stuff, and your P.M.A.! A faster and more adventurous group ride with a no drop mentality. There is no place we won't attempt to ride. Safety is important to us as we all want to come home from a fun time out with friends. Be respectful to fellow riders and stay behind your ride leader. They may ditch you otherwise! Let's crank into spring on another quarterly extended format ride! Rain or shine. Route details to follow. This is a long format day ride, expect over 40mi and 2-3k climb. Quarterly Equinox/Solstice rides are known for having climbs and funny business such as unpaved trails, walk-a-bikes, while visiting as much urban green space as possible. Meant to test rider endurance and certain to go to unfamiliar places! There will be 1-2 store stops. In case of significant rain, route will be altered and/or cover will be sought, however be prepared to ride in the spring rain and stay warm all day! Store/coffee stop around ~9-9:30 (2nd meetup! Contact: 7one46two343two4). Ending at a food/drink establishment. I intend to return to the start Ladd's circle in time for FNR. Come prepared for variable conditions. Bring layers, lights, libations and a good spirit to carry forward.

The Thorns' home opener is Friday, March 20, 7 pm at Providence Park. We'll lead a ride from Laurelhurst Park to the field via the Sports Bra. Departing Laurelhurst at 4:45 pm to the Sports Bra on NE Broadway for a drink. Departing the Sports Bra at 6:00 to allow plenty of time to get to the game and parked before the ball drops. If there's demand for a return leg after the match, the leaders may be open. Please let us know if this is wanted :)

Join us for Bike Milwaukie's March ride to visit several local thrift shops in Milwaukie and SE Portland. We will stop at 3-4 shops for several minutes to allow people to peruse and purchase items before traveling onto the next destination. Bring panniers, backpacks or other means to transport items. Someone will supervise bikes at each location. Ride will end in downtown Milwaukie for lunch and conversation. Dress accordingly. All are welcome. Look forward to seeing you there.

Let's take food to some free fridges and pantries around inner-SE on our bikes! Cargo bikes and bike trailers especially welcome!! Weather forecast says it's going to be nice dry day. This is a no-drop inclusive ride, so if you struggle going up some hills carrying lots of food we'll wait for you! Meet us at Abernethy Elementary School, under the covered area. We will visit a variety of free fridges and pantries, so feel free to bring packaged nonperishable staples, as well as prepared meals (with ingredients and dates labeled,) or even fresh veggies! Grab-n-go items are helpful for folks without kitchen access! Personal hygiene products/socks/handwarmers/etc. also appreciated. Feel free to join our bike even if you don't have any food to donate, or carrying capacity. Spring is here! Celebrate the return of flowers, birds and monthly family-friendly Kidical Mass bike rides. We will ride around Northeast Portland on this free, family-friendly, kid-paced bike ride. We’ll ride from Alberta Park playground to Fernhill park on neighborhood greenways, while listening to springtime music. We will stop at Fernhill park to play, then head back to the start The ride is a 3.7 mile loop total, ending back at Alberta Park Meet at 1pm , decorate your bikes and helmets with flowers, then ride at 1:30pm sharp We ride slow for little pedalers. Kids should wear a helmet, be able to ride in a straight line, start and stop. Cargo bikes, tandems, trailers and tag-a-longs are great for kids who haven’t learned to pedal, or get tired soon. We'll ride together as a group, rain or shine, because kids are traffic too!
