Rolling out around 7-ish and then looping back to Colonel Summers around 9pm for anyone that wants to join the ride later

Join BiciBuds leading with sound support from NakedHeartsPDX and Diablo. This ride departs at the end spot for the Pedalpalooza Bike Summer Kickoff Ride. Leaving at 7pm from Colonel Summers Park — we will be playing “The Hustle” and that means the ride is gonna start rolling. We will head to the store stop and loop back to Colonel Parks closer to 9pm to pick up any other stragglers that want to ride with us to our dance spot. Chill party pace, 7-9 mph. Diablo will be our DJ at end spot to keep the dance party going, yes the next day is Monday, but the official bike summer season has started in Portland. Besides, joy is something we all need to experience during these times. This ride is NOT a loop. 🎶 A Note About the Music 🎶 This ride features a groovy ‘70s disco-funk playlist - full of glitter, basslines, and some spicy lyrics. While we love the vintage vibes, we know some songs from that era can include language or themes that today may feel outdated or inappropriate. Please know this playlist is shared in the spirit of fun, movement, and celebration — not to offend. If a lyric makes you raise an eyebrow, just know: we hear you, and we’re keeping it funky with love and context. Let’s dance & pedal it out together! Theme: Funky Summer Joy -- because it is the first Sunday in June and you still wanna keep the good times going after the kickoff ride. Costumes of any kind are absolutely welcome because it's the first day of Pedalpalooza and Bike Summer so why would we deny your creativity. Safety: This ride intends to be a safe space. No harassment, violence, racism, bigotry, transphobia, threats, or other actions that go against the SHIFT Code of Conduct will be accepted. Respect others and ask consent before touching another person or their belongings. If you experience or witness an issue, tell the ride leader and if SHIFT banned you as a rider, you are banned on this ride too.
