    Loop Ride is a loop

Did you know Portland was founded by Eustace P. Portland (The P stands for Portland)? No? Then join us for a deeply factual tour of the city’s most legendary landmarks and utterly true history. We’ve spent minutes in the local library, definitely reading microfilm and not just making stuff up. On this bike ride, you'll uncover long-lost stories of Portland’s tumultuous past—like the Great Racoon Uprising of '07, the origin of the city's 47 bridges (each named after a pigeon), and why every third tree is legally required to be inpected by The Department of Redundancy Department. Impress your friends with your suspiciously specific Portland trivia! Confuse your enemies! Ride your bike! Costumes encouraged, skepticism optional, all wheels welcome.
