Visit some of the amazing urban farms that the Cully neighborhood is famous for! Learn about regenerative agricultural practices, dry farming, soil building, perennial polycultures and more. Get information on classes, volunteer opportunities, and Community Supported Agriculture. Some farmers and farm educators will lead us on tours of their beautiful sites. Social pace, flat route, kids welcome. Not a loop but end point is about one mile from start. Please bring a water bottle, a sun hat, and anything you need to be comfortable outdoors. Shoes that can take a little dirt are ideal. There will not be a store stop - bring your lunch/snacks. Bathrooms/water access: One of our stops is at Cully Park, a Portland Park with bathrooms and drinking water. The rest of the time we will be within a 5-minute ride of Kʰunamokwst Park. Respect the farms! Do not pick anything unless you are invited to do so. If our group is small, farmers may invite us in to walk around. Keep your feet on paths and only go where invited to go. If our numbers are large they may speak to us on the street. Some of the farms we visit are also private homes.
