Juice Box Bike Club presents a Daycare Ride (Inner SE edition). A ride for people who need to get their tiny humans napped by noon-ish, but still want to have a good time riding around during Pedalpalooza. Bring bubble machines, bubble makers, colorful flags, noise makers and the like to the ride. We'll start at the Eastbank Esplanade by the river, then ride a big loop, crossing at the Steel Bridge. We'll head south on the waterfront in a big loop, stopping at the various water fountains on the Westside, with a longer stop for popsicles at Salmon Springs. The ride leaders will bring juice boxes to share. Note: there is no riding on the street in this ride, which can be nice for the newer bikers - there is however, a decent incline going over the Sellwood pedestrian bridge, but we'll go slowly for the small kids. These rides are welcoming, inclusive spaces for riders of all skill levels. We'll prioritize safety when planning the route to ensure a fun experience for kiddos (and parents) who are still getting comfortable on their bikes. Rides will be short, because you know, meltdowns.
