The Sensory Ride is a regular group bike ride in Portland Oregon, led by neurodivergent people from Ride Safe PDX, that hopes to provide a more comfortable environment for those that may experience anxiety or sensory challenges, or for those that just prefer this type of controlled riding environment. Led by neurodivergent folx, rides include a slow pace (6-8mph), lower traffic routes on neighborhood greenways, quieter or no music, and conduct expectations around creating a more relaxed and sensory friendly experience. They will be held periodically throughout the summer on Thursdays, The ride route is always available here: https://pdxsensoryride.org/routes/ These will be no-drop rides, always a loop, bathroom access at the start and store stops, and always have the option to pause the ride if anyone has needs. — Expectations: Please see our list of ride conduct expectations at: https://pdxsensoryride.org/ride-expectations/ — Presented by Ride Safe PDX. We’re working to make the Portland bike community safer, more welcoming, and more inclusive. Find us on Instagram @ridesafepdx.
