BYO coffee, water, and way to make coffee. Think camping stoves and the like. Sunrise is hoped for at 5:21. Bringing some breakfast ain't a bad idea, either.

Ride from Portland to Gresham following the Springwater Corridor the entire way until the ascent of Hogan Butte - a little-known hill in Gresham with spectacular views. If you're not familiar with Portland, the Springwater is a paved path dedicated to bicycles and pedestrians following a former railway along Johnson Creek. The first 13 miles of this 15-mile ride are on the flat Springwater, but the "high country" in the title comes from the last 2 miles, with a 600-foot ascent to the 920-foot top of Hogan Butte. The summit has sweeping grassy fields providing views of Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, Mt. Hood, and Mt. Jefferson. This is an out/back ride, or three miles from the summit is the Gresham MAX Light Rail station going back to Portland.

What are my favorite parts of the cargo bike community? The people (they do interesting things like open inclusive comic book shops), finding new and flatter routes that open up more destinations to me, and hanging out while we chat about bikes and the kids play. Ive combined all these into a PDX Cargo Bike Gang ride. We start at Katie Proctors just-opened Books with Pictures on SE Division and flat-route our way to Staccato Gelato. *Bring $ for treats.* Well take our treats over to DaVinci Middle School (walkable if you dont have a cargo bike to carry treats while you ride) where the kids can play while we chat. Perfect ride for the cargo bike curious to see what the fuss is about.

This is a call for all unicorns, of all ages, in the City of Portland (and beyond) to gather together at our enchanted green patch: the greenery next to the tennis court at Colonel Summers Park. Not everyone will be able to see us, since we are magical beings, but we will be able to see each other! Unicorns barely touch the ground- some even say they merely skim it, so finding the trail of a unicorn is almost impossible! We will go on an adventure: to the top of candy mountain, and back down. Ride as bare as you dare or roll around in sparkles! The shimmery and more glittery, the better. Bike decorations highly encouraged. Meet at 2 to sparkle up, fly out at 2:15. Glitter, sidewalk chalk & dance jams provided!

Sighted and blind bike riders coming together to go on a two-seated adventure! Fairly mellow tandem ride along the i-205 bike path to Rocky Butte. At the top well eat lunch, mix up tandem teams as we circle the summit, and return to the starting point if desired. Please let us know at least 3 days in advance if you need a captain, a stoker, and/or a tandem. Well confirm with you the day before. We ride until we find a natural end point. Feel free to bail whenever you wanna go somewhere else. Back for its 7th year, Get Lost! is a ride led entirely by chance. Dice are rolled to determine how many blocks to ride, and which direction to turn once we get there (Odd total =R, Even =L). You never know what to expect. Since we won't be taking designated bike routes riders should be pretty comfortable in semi-hairy conditions, but dangerous or illegal routes will not be traveled. Probably not a loop, but that's what we said the first year, and we (eerily) ended up in the exact place we started! Read about that year's ride here: http://bit.ly/eDaPZW

Emerge from the shadows of shame - daredevils of the bike lane. Here is your chance to ride exclusively with like-minded bareheaded cyclists in a daring display of freewheeling cavalier. We will feel the gentle breezes blow through our libertine hair, as we coolly parade our nonchalance around town. We will take deep breaths of clean air with throats unencumbered by choking straps and buckles. Self-appointed bicycle safety advisors should steer clear, or avert their scornful gazes and tiresome tsk tsks, for we will ride free-headed, as the early cyclists intended. Whilst they, crowned with styrofoam buckets, will be fools for mockery. ** Oregon law precludes cyclists under the age of 16 from attending this ride **

Tourists come through Portland in a complicated path that must wind past SW 3rd & Ankeny, where a tiny, porny doughnut shop has made an international splash. Rain, 100-degree shine or hail, the tourists fan out from the corner, a dozen or two prize Voodoo Doughnuts held like trophies before them. But Portland has so much more to offer! Were going to discover how it is Portlands legendary bike tour guides get their fried dough fix. Our tour will experience doughnuts like people who have put in 100s of hours and dollars on their bikes, searching out doughnut shops and testing as many as we could burn off on the way home. Our 3ish-hour bike tour will stop at 3-4 doughnut purveyors with about 12 miles of biking. Bring cash.

Join us on a curated exploration of alleys in Portland's Arbor Lodge, Kenton, Portsmouth & University Park neighborhoods! 9 miles, moderate pace. We'll attempt to not drop anyone, but no promises if you get a flat. This year's alley ride is more off-road than last year's, so come prepared for gravel and dirt - you won't necessarily need a mountain bike, but touring tires or knobbies are going to be better than skinny ones. Bring lights and a picnic for after the ride; end spot is also near a grocery store. Meet: 5:30pm, Leave around 6:00pm!

Sure you have ridden up Alameda Ridge, but can you say you have conquered all of it? Meet: Whole Foods at Fremont and 15th, near the bike racks at 5:30. Route: From Whole Foods go to the start of the ridge, we will go up every. single. road and staircase along the ridge until we finish on top of Rocky Butte. Other Info: Do not wear road bike shoes as we have about a half dozen staircases to ascend. Route is about 3000ft of climbing, and the repeated short and steep climbs, 45 total!, make it pretty tiring. Pace: This is not a race, but if you get to Rocky Butte first while doing every climb you win.

Portland is king when it comes to both breweries and bicycling culture. Let's celebrate that fact by riding to some of Portland's best breweries. We will meet up at The Labrewatory at 5pm. We'll hang out for about an hour and leave at 6. Plan to spend just under an hour at each brewery with about 15 minute rides in between. Ex Novo is our second stop and super close to where we will start. This allows those who cannot make a 5pm start a secondary "start" location in the 6 o'clock hour in the same neighborhood. Due to time constraints and occupancy at the breweries, this ride is limited to 60 people so please RSVP on this page. Also, please bring cash, exact change preferred, so we can get beers in people's hands quickly. Cheers, Ryan Paul

BikeLoudPDX-sponsored ride in protest of pavement allocation. We demand more space for people, less space for machines! Four-lane roads create too many distractions for drivers and impede visibility. Crossing four-lane roads as a pedestrian or cyclist, even legally, is hazardous. The extra lanes should be used for bike lanes, bus-only lanes, parklets, wider sidewalks, anything but vehicle lanes. No more four-lane roads! This ride is not for children and first-time cyclists; we will ride safely, but will be taking the lane on major arterial streets during rush hour.

Our streets should work for all users, not just those who can ride at 25 mph. People looking to start riding shouldn't have to purchase expensive carbon fibre bikes and be in peak physical condition just to keep up with motor traffic. Anyone should be able to ride their upright utility bikes around at their own pace without being in danger. This ride starts at Clinton park. We will take to the Greenways and ride at our own pace to show people that cycling for transportation doesn't have to be a sporting event! Bring your heavy utility bikes, cargo bikes, bakfieten, or otherwise sloooow bikes and let's ride! This ride will be around 3 mi and end at Montavilla Brew Works. This is a sanctioned BikeLoudPDX ride. Visit http://bikeloudpdx.org/

June 24th is 'Take Your Dog to Work Day'! Curious how easy/difficult this is to do? This particular ride will allow you to observe one person's experience taking their dog to work downtown. Bring questions OR your dog! Many people already transport their dog to work via a bike - sometimes using a trailer, basket, or even a cargo bike. If you have any questions about how to successfully transport your dog via a bike in advance of this ride, feel free to ask at the 'PDX Dogs on Bikes' Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PDXDogsOnBikes/

Meet at 10:30, ride at 11
Enjoy a Friday day ride up north of the border! Vancouver Lake is a fun but underused recreation spot just on the other side of the Columbia, with paddling, swimming, hiking & birdwatching opportunities. The ride is 11 miles one way. Pace to be determined by the group--though expect speeds somewhere in the middle of fast and slow. Bring a picnic lunch and your swimsuit. We can eat and play at the lake or at nearby Frenchman's Bar. Ride back may be as a group, or may be on your own. Be aware that Vancouver has an all-ages helmet law, but I won't enforce anything and probably won't wear one.

Portland is notorious for having a large number of unpaved roads. Let's explore them! *Meet*: Carb-load at 8:00a at Pips Doughnuts on NE Fremont *Starts*: Roll out at 8:30a and no later. *Route Options*: Short - Cully, Gateway, Outer SE, Brentwood Darlington Long - Add in SW Neighborhoods Extreme - Ride up Forest Park road, and then back to town via St. Johns. *Pace*: The ride is long, so we'll go as fast as gravel and legal traffic maneuvers allows (probably 15mph). *Helmets*: Not required, but a good idea given we'll be on really bad roads. *Other Notes*: GPX track made available pre-ride. This is a drop-ride. Be respectful of neighborhoods we ride through.

We're celebrating this completely impractical but totally awesome fashion element by donning our fav long socks and cycling through the city. *This is a gender-neutral ride;* all are welcome as long as you bare your thighs and cover your calves. Don't own long socks? Arrive a few minutes early and purchase a pair at the starting point (Sock Dreams). Thigh-high boots also acceptable! This ride will end at the Goth Ride start point.

On the eve of Independence Day, ride with us to demand an equal voice in our government and an end to the crisis of big-money corruption and voter suppression.Well meet at Oregon park and deck out our rides before heading downtown with great fanfare, where well chalk up city hall to spread our message that weve had enough of the status quo of plutocracy. Well end with a block party at an undisclosed location in Northeast.Democracy Spring made history in D.C. last April when 1400 people were arrested at the Capitol in mass civil disobedience to protest the corruption and voter suppression that has put our government in the hands of just a few billionaires. Now, the nonviolent struggle for democracy has come to Oregon!
